TAI CHI SEMINAR SERIES 2006


President of the International Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan Man Lian Club of China, Master Liu Yong visited Sri Lanka on 16th August 2006 to conduct a series of Tai Chi Semiars and to establish the Sri Lanka Branch of Man Lian Tai Chi Club under its Sri Lanka Representative Indishe Senanayake.
Master Liu Yong's interest in Martial Arts began when he was eight and his parents encouraged him to study Shaolin Quan. On leaving school he joined the Military Police, where he became a Wushu (Sunshou) coach.
Master Liu Yong began to study Tai Chi in 1987 under Master Gou Kong Jie. He was introduced to Grandmaster Chen Zheng Lei in 1993, where his training was intensified. On 1st December 1996 he was officially accepted as an "Indoor" student of the Grandmaster.
Master Liu Yong has morr than 3000 students world wide and is an 18th generation inheritor of the family style Tai Chi.
It's a great honour for us to having the opportunity to represent his club and teach Chen Style Tai Chi in Sri Lanka.
