SRI LANKA SEMINAR SERIES OF HANSHI, OSCAR HIGA (9TH DAN) World Technical Director of Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do Kyudokan

Hanshi, Oscar Masato Higa (9th Dan), World Technical Director of Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Kyudokan Karate-Do Federation and the European Representative of Ryukyu Kobudo Ryukonkai (Okinawan Weaponry) visited Sri Lanka in November 2005.
Master Oscar Higa who decends from a Samurai Family in Okinawa was born in 1945 as the son of the great Karate Master Jintatsu Higa and as the nephew of Hanshi, Yuchoku Higa (10th Dan), founder of Shorin Ryu Kyudokan Karatedo.
Also he is the cousin of Hanshi, Minoru Higa (9th Dan - President & Grand Master of Kyudokan) and brother of Kyoshi, Benito Higa (8th Dan- President of South American Kyudokan Federation).
Master Oscar Higa is well known all over the world for his superb technical skills, especially for his amazing work of 'Hara'. He is a very busy Karate teacher who travels all over the world for teaching Karate-do and Kobudo.
Sensei, Roman Berny from Kyudokan Czech Republic, Sensei, Arun Bodake (Indian Representative of Kyudokan), Sensei, Vijay Tambadkar (Indian Representative of Ryukonkai) & three other students from Kyudokan India were also present at the seminars of Higa Sensei.
More than hundred Karateka(s) participated in Higa Sensei's Sri Lanka Seminars. It was very fortunate to participate in seminars conducted by Higa Sensei for all the participants who had this golden opportunity.
