August 2009
Sensei, Indishe Senanayake participated the Okinawa Traditional Karatedo World Tournament, seminars and demonstrations as the sole participant from Sri Lanka. Sensei Indishe also trained in Hombu Dojo of Kyudokan Karate-do and Ryukonkai Kobudo in Okinawa under Grand Master Minoru Higa (10th Dan), Grand Master Kotaro Iha (10th Dan) and other senior masters in Okinawa, Japan.

Master Ali Walmsley is an instructor of Man Lian Tai Chi Club of UK and a senior student of Master Liu Yong. He has studied Tai Chi under famous Chen Style Tai Chi Masters in the world to explore the world of Tai Chi

The new Hombo Dojo of Kyudokan, Heiwa Dojo was inaugurated by Hanshi, Oscar Higa, World Technical Director of Okinawa Shorin Ryu Kyudokan Karate-do Federation on 06th November 2008.
Many leading Karate instructors from different Ryuha and Kaiha were present at the inauguration ceremony and demonstrations.
Sensei, Roman Berny (Czech Republic), Sensei, Arun Bodake (India) and Sensei, Vijay Tambadkar (India) were also present.

Miss. Suchninthi Anuradha Fernando won the Silver Medal at 2,1st Kyu Kata event at National Karate-do Champinoship organized by Sri Lanka Karate-do Federation (National Body).

3 Kyudokan students participated at Western Province Karate-do Championship organized by Sri Lanka Karate-do Federation and Miss. Suchinthi Fernando placed 2nd in 2,1st Kyu Kata event and Mr. Radeev de Silva placed 3rd at 5,4,3rd Kyu Kata event.

29th March 2008
5 students of Kyudokan participated in the 6th National Okinawan Karate Kobudo Championship 2008 held on 29th March at Ratnapura organized by Okinawan Karate & Kobudo Association (Matsubayashi Ryu of Eihachi Ota sensei) and achieved 3 Gold medals and 2 Silver Medals.

Indishe Senanayake Sensei was promoted to Yondan (4th Dan) with the title Shihan-Dai in Seiyo No Shorin Ryu Karate Kobudo Kai, by Soke, Dan hausel (10th Dan), Grandmaster of Seiyo No Shorin-Ryu Karate Kobudo Kai, USA.

Mr. Michael Collins from Thailand visited our Hombu Dojo on 03rd August 2007. Michael is an Australian citizen who lives in Thailand and a student of Man Lian Tai chi Club of Thailand. .

Sensei Indishe Senanayake visited India on 04th January 2007 to conduct a series of Karate and Kobudo seminars in Mumbai and Alibag. He also participated at Karate Tournament in Kannur, Kerala organised by Shihan K.V. Manoharan of Uechi Ryu Kenyukai Karate-do. Also he conducted a Karate seminar in Cochin. Indishe Sensei travelled from Trivendrunm to, Cochin, Kannur, Mumbai, Alibag, New Delhi, Agra, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakpur, Kushinagar..... in his three weeks stay in India. .

Master Liu Yong (President of the International Chen Style Tai chi Chuan Man Lian Club of China) visited Sri Lanka on 16th August 2006 to conduct a series of Tai Chi Seminars and to establish the Sri Lanka Branch of Man Lian Tai Chi Club under his Sri Lanka Representative Indishe Senanayake.

A team of Indian Karateka visited Sri Lanka on 06th May 2006 to participate at a two day training seminar in Shorin-Ryu Kyudokan Karate, conducted by Indishe Senanayake Sensei (Sri Lanka Representative of Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Kyudokan Karate-do Federation). The seminar was followed by a Friendship Karate tournament among Indian & Sri Lankan children. Kyudokan Indian Representative Arun Bodake Sensei received personal training from Indishe Sensei for four days.

Sensei Indishe Senanayake has been appointed as the Official Representative of Ryu Kyu Kobudo Ryukonkai (Kobudo) Association in Sri Lanka by Kotaro Iha Sensei (9th Dan - Hanshi), Grand Master & Founder of Ryukonkai on 1st May 2006.

Sensei Indishe Senanayake was awarded as the 'International Instructor of 2005' by Soke Dan Hausel in Seiyo No Shorin Ryu Karate Kobudo Kai for his achievements 2005.

December 2005
Miss. Veronika Cernikova from Ostrava Czech Republic visited Kyudokan Sri Lanka Hombu Dojo on 18 December 2005 with Mr. Paul and Mr. Richard from Czech Republic. Veronika is a long time friend of Indishe Sensei and a member of the Ostrava Jujitsu Club. Also, she helps us financially in Kyudokan Tsunami Aid Project through her school. Richard San is a member of Aikibudo in Czech Republic.

Hanshi Oscar Higa (Technical director of Shorin Ryu Kyudokan Karatedo) visited Sri Lanka on 05th November 2005. Master Higa conducted a series of Karatedo and Kobudo seminars in Sri Lanka. Sensei Roman Berny from Kyudokan Czech Republic, Sensei Arun Bodake (Kyudokan Indian Representative), Sensei Vijay Tambadkar (Ryukonkai Indian Representative) and three other Kyudokan students from India were also present in these seminars. More than hundred students participated at the seminars conducted by Hanshi Oscar Higa.

Kyudokan Tsunami Aid Project
Shorin Ryu Kyudokan Karatedo Sri Lanka Branch conducted aid projects for Tsunami Victims in Panadura & Galle with the support of Kyudokan Italy (Co-ordinated by Daniel Biasci Sensei), Kyudokan Tanvald Czech Republic, Roman Berny Sensei of Kyudokan Czech Republic, Carter's Martial Arts USA & Episcopal Secondary Grammer School, Ostrava, Czech Republic (co-ordinated by Veronika Cernikova) to the value of 3.5 Lakhs of Sri Lankan Rupees (US$3500). Our kind thanks goes to all the people who supported our people who were affected by the Tsunami Disaster on 26th December 2004. Our Special thanks goes to Rev. Matugama Gunaratana Thero for co-ordinatig our project in Galle district & to Rev. Kurupita Dhammananda Thero for co-ordinating our project in Panadura Area.

Bushite Ryu Karate Seminar by Shihan Sakhria Mourad (7th Dan) of Tunisia
We had a wonderful experience of Karate with, Bushite Ryu founder, Tunisian Shihan Sakhria Mourad for two weeks in Sri Lanka from 23rd October to 4th November 2004. Shihan Sakhria conducted training seminars at our hombu dojo, YMCA dojo, Ananda College Dojo and Kamkaru Sewana Hall Ratmalana with Sensei Indishe Senanayake. The main seminar was held at Kamkaru Sewana Hall Ratmalana on 30th October with nearly 100 participants. Master Mourad emphasized on KI energy, body hardening, Internal energy and spiritual growth, breathing exercises, Co-ordination of body and mind, Kata, Kumite And also Tamashiwari in his seminar. Master Sakhria showed his amazing ability by keeping a big concrete block over his head while sitting in seiza and a Sensei broke the block by a hammer. And Kyudokan students did a wonderful demonstration of one hour.

The famous Indian Sensei Mr. K.V. Manoharan (Indian Representative of Uechi Ryu Kenyukai Karatedo & Shorin Ryu Reihokan Kobudo) visited Hombu Dojo of Kyudokan Sri Lanka (Home Dojo of Indishe Sensei) in February 2004 with two students Mr.Asif & Mr. Faizal.

Sensei, Indishe returned to Sri Lanka after a successful tour to Okinawa. Indishe Sensei participated in the 2003 Okinawa Karatedo Kobudo World Tournament and related seminars and demonstrations as the sole participant from Sri Lanka.
In this visit he trained Shorin Ryu Kyudokan Karatedo under his Grand Master Minoru Higa (9th Dan - Hanshi) Sensei, Technical director Oscar Higa Sensei (9th Dan - Hanshi) and Kobudo under Kotaro Iha Sensei (9th Dan - Hanshi), founder of Ryukonkai Kobudo.
